Used bookstores are the best. You never know what kind of cool stuff you'll find there. I was at Starlight Books in Newmarket yesterday, and came away with
- a book about P.G. Wodehouse I hadn't even known existed
- a copy of The High King by Lloyd Alexander to replace the one I have that's falling apart
- the first trade of HeroSquared
- the first two trades of Incorruptible
- the two trades of After the Cape
- the first two Project Superpowers collections
(Note: results not typical.)

I love used bookstores.
And around here, every year the local improvement association has a used book sale in their big meeting hall. Tables and tables of used books as far as the eye can see. Lots of gems hiding in there, too.
Library discard stores, too, often very useful, and supercheap.
