A Public Service For My Fellow Bloganauts

Many's the time I've gone to check out somebody's blog and found, instead of a substantial post or comment where I expected there to be one, a squib saying something like, "I had my post all ready to go but then Blogger ate it and died and I don't feel like typing it out all over again."

I have no idea why people do this. You know that Blogger has a short attention span. You know that browsers can crash.

The solution is very simple. Type up your posts beforehand in a word processor, and then when you're ready to go, copy-and-paste it into the Blogger text window. Much more reliable. (Obviously, if you're loading images in, you might run into some problems with Blogger choking on them, but at least if it crashes you won't lose everything.) It works for blog entries and it works for long comments on blogs or message boards. And it's really not a lot of trouble. I recommend it.

Hi Matthew,
I second your suggestion. Word is (sometimes, and in this case) your friend!
:)
Ciao,
Amy

Or, you can do what I do, and do Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C, and copy all of your text, before clicking any submit buttons.

Well, it's tricky. Generally the Legion's connection to the 20th century is through Superman, and Superman exists on Earth-2 roughly similarly to how he exists on Earth-1. (This is the classic Earth-1 and Earth-2 I'm talking about.) So there's not much of a difference there to exploit. Any differences between an Earth-1 and Earth-2 Legion would have to be differences you invented for yourself, with some exceptions.

For instance. You couldn't have Brainiac 5, of course. You couldn't have Supergirl, but you could use Power Girl if you wanted. Um... the Earth-1 Legion didn't have much contact with the Green Lantern Corps, but to the extent that they did (Rond Vidar, Celeste), you couldn't use that.

Which is not to say that there's nothing that could be done along these lines. I have one notion in mind that I'd like to think about...

And Christmas was largely fine but for a round of colds for the whole family; the baby has a fever and isn't sleeping well.
